Researchers working in this field experiment with innovative data-scanning methods (photomodeling and no-contact 3D scanning), point-cloud processing and editing systems, and systems for the mapping and cataloguing of archaeological and cultural heritage. They explore three-dimensional modeling, representation and identification of new communication codes employing advanced computer and virtual-reality technology to allow for different user experiences of architecture. They also develop information and communication technologies for teaching and research, and design graphical interfaces for digital information systems.
